Job Requirements

Human Resources Generalist - Boscobel, WI

Job Description

Nu-Pak, Inc. is seeking an experienced and energetic Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. The HR Generalist will be responsible to enhance organizational productivity, quality and service in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the department and facility through assistance with the functions of staffing and development, employee relations, legal and ethical compliance and health and safety as directed by the Human Resources Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Process, verify and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations and employee leaves of absence.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to assess HR-related needs for individual employees and teams. Create and deliver programs to meet needs and engage staff in existing programs thru effective communication and relationships.
  • Serve as the onsite subject matter expert for all HR processes and compliance regulations. Oversee execution of processes, training of staff and ensure compliance. Identify and execute process improvements.
  • Drive and manage relationships with local, state and national organizations. Goal of these relationships is to enhance employer relations and promotion and identify resources to enhance business knowledge for training and best practices facilitation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of experience
  • 2 or more years in an HR position or the equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Human Resources or related degree preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams
  • Extensive communication (written and verbal), mediation (conflict resolution) and facilitation skills
  • Self-starter; demonstrates personal initiative and willingly assumes responsibility and ownership
  • Ability to build a motivated, positive, trust-based team and strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to create an open environment supportive of free sharing of information and ideas that is also conducive to contribution, growth and achievement
  • Exemplary standards of integrity, personal work ethic and continuous involvement in self education and development
  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint software

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Adhere to all GMPS, food safety, regulatory (USDA) and company policies, procedures, work instructions and employee expectation requirements that support food safety and food defense.
  • Complete all required paperwork that applies to specified areas and products
  • Identify defects in packages/pouches
  • Monitor weights and case counts
  • Assemble cases either manually or automatically using case making machine
  • Operate a pallet jack
  • Understand Production Schedule
  • Safety

Job Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent preferred and One year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, and/or service work preferred but not mandatory. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to function in a team environment. We offer on the job training.
