Process Engineer - Boscobel,WI

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Process Engineer to join our growing team. The Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing and improving existing processes in production work cells. Assess trial and develop new business opportunities. Assess ability and capability of Nu-Pak employees and identify opportunities for improving process capability through training and awareness.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Monitor and enforce food safety/GMP's/food security and take appropriate action to correct any violations
  • Analyze production data for improvement possibilities
  • Suggest, document and implement process improvements
  • Train personnel on process improvements
  • Write procedures, work instructions and checklists for existing product lines
  • Plan and document trials on new production possibilities
  • Develop and implement plans for new line startups
  • Write procedures, work instructions and checklists for new lines
  • Train personnel on new equipment assembly and procedures
  • Schedule safety and operational training on new equipment
  • Work with Production Manager and Material Planners to optimize production schedules
  • Work with Maintenance Technicians on issues relating to process improvements
  • Assist Process Technicians
  • Research and suggest new equipment purchases
  • Manage automated data collection system
  • Customer contact for new product lines
  • Customer contact for process improvements
  • Lead Projects as Assigned
  • Assist in Development of Pricing Work Sheets
  • Assist in defining Standard Throughput and Yields for new and existing products
  • Manage/Utilization of excess equipment when applicable
  • Provide low level IT support for all PCs, printers and other network related issues
  • Provide link between Nu-Pak and contracted IT consultants

Job Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 2- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment; education in engineering or equivalent experience; minimum of 2 years' experience in an engineering related position. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Production Manager - Boscobel,WI

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Production Manager to join our growing team. The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating all the available resources for production shifts, to develop and efficient and effective operation.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Monitor and enforce food safety/GMP's/food security and take appropriate action to correct any violations.
  • Manage the resources on all production shifts to achieve the expected outcome for scheduled production.
  • Manage and coordinate all customer complaints.
  • Encourage and promote the culture of cooperation and teamwork among the Production team.
  • To develop the Production supervisor's and Crew Leaders into a cohesive unit that understands the importance of all policies, work instructions and procedures related to food packaging.
  • Ensure that the personnel on all shifts comprehend the purpose and understand the need for following all company GMP's, Quality Procedures, Safety Procedures and Absenteeism policies.
  • To work as a management team member to recommend any changes that are necessary to develop Nu-Pak into a World Class Organization.
  • To contribute to the annual company goals set forth for each review year. Personal contributions and personal goals must be coordinated to align with the company overall goals.
  • To become respected in their capacity as Production Manager by their peers and employees and to be a better manager than they are expected to be, by setting the example that they require their employees to aspire to.
  • To work with the General Manager in Developing a plan to advance the employees at Nu-Pak Inc. to a level of their highest achievable contribution, to develop a better quality of life for our team members.
  • To enforce all company policies, guidelines and programs fairly and equitably.
  • To continuously analyze daily performance, yields, staffing and downtime in order to maximize response time to production changes, utilize personnel effectively and to reduce loss to the company.
  • To work with the MRP Manager to efficiently schedule all necessary production, to maintain a cost effective operation.
  • To work with the Quality Assurance Manager to set the quality goals and expectations for the Production Team contribution of packaging product in the best interest of the consumer and our customers.

Job Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 2- 5 years experience in a production environment; education in management and supervisory development or equivalent experience; minimum of 3 year experience in supervision.

General Laborer - Prairie du Chien, WI

We are currently accepting applications for seasonal and permanent general labor employees. Shifts include 1st 6am to 2pm, 6am to 10am, 10am to 2pm Monday through Friday and 2nd shift 2pm to 12am Monday through Thursday.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be in good physical condition, as standing for prolonged periods of time, bending, lifting and kneeling are regular requirements of this position.
  • Must be able to lift 25-pounds.
  • Responsible for keeping work area clean and free of clutter.
  • Must be alert to quality issues as completing tasks.
  • Must be compliant, detail oriented, task focused and comfortable with handling repetitive duties.
  • Should possess good manual dexterity.

  • Conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid any accidents while on the production floor.
  • Report any issues you see to the Safety/HR Manager immediately.
  • Safety glasses are required to be worn at all times when present on the production floor.

Organizational Relationships

  • The General Laborer position is responsible for reporting to their Team Lead, Supervisor and; / or Management.

Accountability

  • Must report any and all machine problems to maintenance and the Production Supervisor immediately.
  • Confidentiality is expected regarding all company information or data that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Prairie Industries, Inc.
  • Through performance evaluations

Standards of Performance

The General Laborer is responsible for all of the above requirements. The General Laborer is expected to work 40 or more hours per week and will be evaluated on key production measures to assist in the operation and ensure overall quality and success of Prairie Industries, Inc. Overtime may be a requirement to meet all customer dates as needed to complete the job functions listed above.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Adhere to all GMPS, food safety, regulatory (USDA) and company policies, procedures, work instructions and employee expectation requirements that support food safety and food defense.
